The author and publisher do a good job。 The problem with these types of guidebooks is that they attempt to be objective which sounds great, except if the place they are writing about really doesn't have much to do or see。 Instead of saying that, they do a good job of writing about tons of things you could do or see on the Canary Islands, that are essentially super boring and not worth visiting。 They should intro the book and say, these islands are OK。 The author and publisher do a good job。 The problem with these types of guidebooks is that they attempt to be objective which sounds great, except if the place they are writing about really doesn't have much to do or see。 Instead of saying that, they do a good job of writing about tons of things you could do or see on the Canary Islands, that are essentially super boring and not worth visiting。 They should intro the book and say, these islands are OK。 。。。more

I know that this book was to cover the whole of the Canary Islands and I should've been prepared for a short read but the information contained within felt like a real skim over everything, had I bought this I'd have been really disappointed (it was covered with Amazon prime reads) as most of the information could've been found easily online。 Normally I'm a huge advocate for lonely planet but this one felt severely lacking。 I know that this book was to cover the whole of the Canary Islands and I should've been prepared for a short read but the information contained within felt like a real skim over everything, had I bought this I'd have been really disappointed (it was covered with Amazon prime reads) as most of the information could've been found easily online。 Normally I'm a huge advocate for lonely planet but this one felt severely lacking。 。。。more

Seems pretty good, although I've not been there yet! Covers a lot of things without a huge amount of detail, though。 Useful in choosing a place to stay, as I've never been before。 Seems pretty good, although I've not been there yet! While Lonely Planet's Tenerife guide is absolutely fantastic, this one is missing some of the main tourist attractions。 I found much more info on the web then in this book and couldn't find some basic sights in the book。 Not recommended。 While Lonely Planet's Tenerife guide is absolutely fantastic, this one is missing some of the main tourist attractions。 I found much more info on the web then in this book and couldn't find some basic sights in the book。 Not recommended。 。。。more
